HIGHLY VERSATILE FOAMS AND COMPOSITES
More than 18 years ago, ORTOPLAST registered the SHOCKICEL brand.® to create a complete family of innovative materials for the orthopaedic sector. Our aim was to offer the European market high quality alternatives to materials that were difficult to access at the time.
We began by manufacturing the first alternative to microcellular polyurethanes, resulting in the successful SHOCKICEL® RED MEMORY, a material with excellent shock absorption and high comfort. It has been widely used in the manufacture of insoles for diabetic foot and other orthopaedic applications.
We then developed SHOCKICEL® TRANSPIRA, designed to improve breathability and wearer comfort.
With the SHOCKICEL family®ORTOPLAST continues to offer cutting-edge solutions for orthopaedic professionals looking for high performance, comfort and durability materials.
SHOCKICEL® FOAMS
Currently, especially in Europe, which avoids imports from the United States, the best option (both technically and economically) is microcellular polyurethane (known as PPT) or the one manufactured by the American Rogers Corporation.
